Domestic Firewood Survey

The Sylva Foundation is currently supporting Dan Kinash who is a student working towards an MSc in Environmental Forestry at Bangor University. As part of his dissertation, he is investigating the UK domestic firewood supply chains to characterise and identify barriers which affect operational efficiencies.Initial research has indicated that the UK domestic firewood market varies on a regional scale, and as a result each ‘regional market’ may experience different barriers to their supply.

He is aiming to get as many responses as possible from all over the UK on aspects of the supply chain, including firewood businesses, woodland owners, contractors, hauliers, firewood merchants and end users.

It would be very much appreciated if you could forward the survey to anyone who you think may also be interested in helping. To complete the survey please click this link. http://www.sylva.org.uk/limesurvey/index.php?sid=35814&lang=en

Thanks you for your help, an electronic copy of the final report will be sent to all business that take part in the survey.
